John RandallPHILLIPSPeacefully, on the 18th of December, John Phillips formerly of Whitchurch, Cardiff, aged 85 years. Beloved husband to the late (Margaret) Ray, loving father to David and Siân, father-in-law to Amanda and Michael, and adored Dadcu of Thomas, Bethan, Siôn, Ruby and Gwen. John was a long-standing councillor for Llanrumney ward on Cardiff City Council, as well as its leader (1990-1994). He also served as Lord Mayor of Cardiff (1996-7).
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, 7 January at 12.30pm at Thornhill Crematorium.
